Pentagon May Court Martial Soldiers Who Share Christian Faith

with 5 comments

I can hardly believe that the Pentagon would criminalize soldiers who would share their faith.  People like Mikey Weinstein represent the evil in this country, for idiot crackpots like him would put George Washington in the stocks for sharing his faith with his soldiers – a faith that kept hope alive for those wintered over in Valley Forge.

And the haters of God and Christ call us intolerant, declaring us enemies of the Constitution and no better than sex offenders.

  1. Ugh! I know! It’s such a double-standard. They can prosecute Christians, but yet, we cannot share our views on homosexuality, even if we aren’t “hating.” First off, Christians are taught the love of God and therefore, should follow the command to love thy neighbor as thyself. Smh. They are being given the right to share their beliefs, yet we can’t?!

    • Exactly. Colorado just today allowed same-sex couples to join into civil unions – but that’s not good enough for the homosexuals. They want “marriage” because they want us Christians to validate that their “relationship” preferences are just the same as ours. God ordained “marriage” as a relationship between a man and woman. We are systematically being made to accept it, with absolutely no accommodation reciprocally.

It’s a tale as old as the hills. They don’t want it “God’s way” – they want to do it (no pun intended) their own way.

But this thing isn’t about the homosexuals. – it’s about the “justified hatred’ that the liberals feel right in having. Perhaps they are still bitter at God over the whole Sodom and Gomorrah thing.

      • I couldn’t agree more. Its incredible to see a nation that is supposed to be “under God” defy Him. Praise the Lord for His unfailing love though! I know that one thing is for sure, I will be praying for our nation tomorrow during the National Day of Prayer, though just one day is never enough. But this is something that is as old as the hills, as you put it. Followers of Christ have been prosecuted since the beginning of time and we both know that according to the Bible this is something we will face until the end of ages.
On a side note, I’m really excited to have come across your blog! Keep spreading the Good News, my brother in Christ! (:

      • Thanks for that, Shannon! In digging further into this case, the Pentagon and the Uniform Code of Military Justice has always had a problem with religious proselytizing and this case deals with specifically with a soldier who wouldn’t stop, even after being told to do so.

There are instances where it’s inappropriate to good order and morale, such as if a commanding officer uses his rank to influence the religious beliefs of someone under his command. It’s in these extreme cases when the UCMJ rules come to bear.

However, the real issue here is with people like Mikey Weinstein, who have made it their life’s work to eradicate religion from the military. Why the Pentagon hired this guy in the role he’s in tells me that their idea of tolerance is inconsistent.

So, yeah, the hate is something we live with, because Jesus did say, “they don’t hate you, they hate me”. So, I’m content to keep the UCMJ rules, but Weinstein has to go.

Anyway. welcome to the Rabid Readership! It’s good to have you out there! Contribute and comment often and pass the word around!\
