Saturday Rabidity: Vermin in the White House

leave a comment »

Vermin is nothing new in a building that is 213 years old–and roaches aren’t the worst of it.

When I read this, I couldn’t help but laugh. Yes, when you have a building that is over 200 years old, it’s going to have guests that aren’t exactly .  So, when an article comes out that talks about a roach problem in the White House, I can only shake my head at the sheer comedic potential.

Now, I’m not going to especially slam on El Presidente today, but rather, I think it might good to slam on the staff.

Like that little weasel Jay Carney, who has been consistently telling us against what we already know about Benghazi.  And yet we’re continuing to listen to his party line talking points while the entire Democrat party hides the facts of the matter from the light of truth – just like roaches.

Then there is Liz Fowler who authored much of the ObamaCare legislation for Max Baucus as his Chief of Staff. And yet this rat, as Obama’s top health policy adviser, met with Wall Street investment firm executives from 2011 to 2012, trading information so Wall Street can be ahead of the ACA, before going to HHS and then cashing in at Johnson & Johnson.

So, I guess I have to ask – which one is the First Cockroach?

Perhaps we should hire Tony Montana to deal with the problem (yes, I know this is Cartman from South Park, but it’s the cleanest one I could find – Scarface isn’t exactly the most linguistically pure movie in the world (and I like to keep it at least PG-13 out here).

Marx-ine Waters Tells Tea Party to Go to Hell

leave a comment »

Another Democrat shows that when frustration sets in and things give tough, they get nasty and uncivil.

I am not a fan of Maxine Waters.

  1. She’s been suspected of corruption by using her office to help companies and other organizations that directly benefitted in over a million dollars in profit for her family member, namely her son and daughter.
  2. She was cited by Citizens Against Public Waste in 2009 for trying to nail down an earmark for the “Maxine Waters Employment Preparation Center”.  Left-leaning Citizens for Responsibility and Ethics in Washington (CREW) called her out on three separate occasions as being one of the most corrupt in Congress.
  3. She currently is under House Ethics investigation for her role in racial-cronyism by trying to save the OneUnited Bank, which received $12M in TARP money, which donated over $12,000 to her campaign coffers, and which her husband is an investor.
  4. She threatened the CEO’s of America’s largest oil companies of nationalizing and taking them over.
  5. She had the audacity to cite Republicans and Tea Partiers for name-calling, overrunning the Capitol, inciting radical groups like Code Pink, and being out of control, yet she does precisely the same thing during a socialist rally.

The latest stroke, however, comes as she was ranting on in her usual form to a group of SEIU-backed constituents.  There’s nothing wrong with showing grit in the face of opposition.  However, when she tells the Tea Party to go straight to hell, regardless of how

But then, we should expect that kind of unprofessional, un-statesman-like conduct from Democrats, considering that a couple of weeks back, they were calling the Tea Party a group of “terrorists”.

No, Ms. Waters, we’re not going to hell.  We’re going to take your own advice, not be intimidated by the likes of socialists like you, and, instead of appealing to the forces of hell, we’re going to pray to the God in Heaven that He blesses you immeasurably.

The thing is, many of the Tea Party members that I’ve met are God-fearing, Christian people who just want government to do only what it is supposed to do and stay out of people’s way.  Maxine Waters doesn’t believe this, perhaps because she’s, at best, a Christian ‘adherent”.  In other words, she calls herself Christian, but it’s highly unlikely she follows Christ in any way.

Anyone who does would not tell anyone to go to hell, since they would know full well the implications of what hellfire truly is.  But I guess if it’s good for votes among socialists and SEIU union drones.

I Really Hate Politics

leave a comment »

Most of what I write about on this blog is political commentary.  I look at topics in politics, compare them to what the Founders had hoped.  The Founders never intended that the American political system be corrupted by the putrid stench of self-interest and elitism that has plagued Washington today.  Washington has become a place where people can learn about cut-throat maneuvering, quid pro quo, corruption, and fiscal irresponsibility – because those are recurring themes inside the Beltway.

There are so many good people out there who could serve, who should serve!  But good people are becoming less and less welcome in the American system, when, in fact, the American public want good people in the public square.  Yet people of good moral character and pure desire to do something great for their country are targeted for removal.

Today, a good woman, Sarah Palin, decided to step aside as Governor of Alaska by not seeking re-election and transferring power to her Lieutenant Governor.  Here’s the video of her rather stirring and inspiring comments today:

As soon as she made her announcement, the Democrats pounced, saying that she was running from the political pressure – because she got beat up by the some fifteen ethics complaints (all of which dismissed), beat up for being a woman, beat up for coming from the middle class, beat up for being beautiful, lambasted because her daughter had a premarital pregnancy, and scathed by morons like David Letterman.  Democrats who looked at her with fear and contempt are now celebrating once again because they have learned (whether it’s true or not) that if they badger and bully enough, they can push good people like Sarah Palin out of the public square.

But why do her opponents hate her so much?  Because she is real.  She’s not an empty suit like Barack Obama who bows before anyone and anything for popularity.  She’s not a typical, spit-shined politician who could really care less about the values of their constituencies (and I speak on both sides of the aisle).  She approached her role as a public servant, not out of elitism entitlement, but out of a pure desire to do something good for Alaska and her country.  She governed from her middle-class values, not from upper-class snobbery.

And it was because of that style that made many of us Americans fall in love with her.  She illustrated what the greatest majority of Americans want in the political system – common sense, fiscal responsibility, personal accountability, and a servant’s heart.

I’ve been asked by more than one person out there why I don’t seek office.  And I think my answer is simple – I hate politics.  I can’t stand the personal attacks that one party makes to another in order to eliminate or marginalize someone who has the dream of doing something great for his/her country.  I hate the games that politicians play, so they can negotiate and get what they want for their districts in order to get re-elected.  I hate the media because they don’t report the news anymore, but rather, act as political sounding boards for people of their belief.  I despise the bias against personal values and religious beliefs that are leveled against good people, just because their sins are revealed when they stand next to a person of impeccable character.

In short, I hate the political system, because the good people have no desire to serve in an environment like that.  And as such, the political system is populated by not-so-good people – people bent on milking the system for their own self interests.

And in the end, America suffers and begs for some real hope – not the sham that is in Washington today.

Good luck in your next big thing, Sarah.  We’ll miss and pray for you and your family.

Oh, and happy Fourth of July, everyone…sorry I’ve been away for as long as I have.

TRC – Mourning for Detroit

leave a comment »

Lately, in my research, a number of things have popped up regarding the City of Detroit, MI.  While one or two things in a city usually are normal, for some reason, the name “Detroit” kept coming up in my research.  So, I decided to chronicle what I found, do a little bit more research, and show what happens when liberalism and labor unions with a chokehold on the state government will do to a once great city of the USA.

1. Literacy Rate – This week, I found a very startling statistic. In Metro Detroit, currently, there is a staggering 47% illiteracy rate in the city. This means nearly one in every TWO people cannot read.  Michigan’s largest city with nearly 1,000,000 people has 450,000 people who are illiterate.  One would wonder how many of the 830,000 vote difference in Michigan between Barack Obama and John McCain was made up of people who were unable to read, research the issues, and make informed decisions based on facts, rather than emotional response.

2. People die and no one cares – This week, I found articles (example) talking about some poor soul who was frozen in three feet of ice; only his feet were protruding.  It’s bad enough that anyone dies this way, encased in ice for weeks, but life went on around him, as if the people seeing this didn’t care about the guy.

3. Houses stripped of their raw metals – This is older news, but because of the recessed housing market, houses like this one mentioned, the notorious $1 house, more houses are being ripped apart for their raw materials.  Copper pipes removed, siding ripped off, carted down the streets in wheel barrows where it can be sold to scrap dealers and recycle facilities.  Short of the ‘we’ll pay you to take it over’ mentality, houses are being abandoned and then stripped by thieves.

4. Forbes-rated The Most Miserable City – Detroit was rated the nation’s Most Miserable City by Forbes for 2008.  The highest level of violent crime, second-highest in unemployment, often adopting the mantle of “US Murder Capital”, Detroit’s plight often holds national attention in cliché.

5. Education Failure – It’s not for lack of money. Detroit, on average, spends $11,400 per pupil during 2007-2008 and graduates just 20% of blacks and 17% of whites that go through the school system.  In fact, if you read the previous article about the guy frozen to death in the warehouse, that warehouse used to contain school supplies that were left to rot rather than handed out to the kids.

6. Political Corruption – Just this year, September 18, Mayor Kwame Kilpatrick resigned from office after a very tumultuous political career as the city’s youngest mayor. Shortly after his departure from office, he was sentenced to four months in jail and a million dollar fine on charges of obstruction of justice, perjury, and misconduct in office.  He was disbarred, required to surrender his legislator pension, and put on probation for five years.

What the heck is going on in Motown?

This is what happens when the Democrats, liberals, and labor unions keep a GOP mayor from being elected since 1961.  Middle-class people are forced out of town by riots, leaving behind a cesspool of people who’s only hope is the millions of dollars in government dependency that is dumped in, with no motivation to bring this failure out of the rubble.

If you want to see what happens when liberals control something for long periods of time, look in Detroit.

In closing, have a listen to Mr. Newt Gingrich’s comments regarding Detroit and understand – this is the product of liberalism.  Conservatism has been completely shut out of the Detroit system for the last fifty years – and one of the countries great cities has fell into ruin.

And like Newt says, no liberal will dare talk about Detroit, because there is no excuse other than liberal failure policies breeding entitlement and dependency.  This is a time to mourn, because more of this will follow if we adopt our new President’s liberal agenda.
