How Things Are Really Done in Washington

Well, sometimes I think Saturday Night Live is a lot more fair and balanced than the news is. In any case, it doesn’t get much clearer than this:

I didn’t have time to read myself! Wow! Okay, well go big or go home, huh?

Obama Breaks Oath of Office: Violates Law by Executive Order

leave a comment »

I have been very reluctant to discuss matters of impeachment on The Rabid Conservative since the entire Tea Party and the Right Wing has been dogging Obama (myself included) since he got into office in 2009. But I’ve kept back from the I-word because it’s just part of the droning downbeat from the Right. But last night, Obama did announce he was going to not follow immigration policy. Not enforcing the law is a violation of the law.

We have all sat back and waited as he announced, in the face of a demolishing defeat in the mid-term elections, that Obama would, by executive order, grant amnesty to people in the country illegally.  Regardless of what people want to call them, the point is, the law does not allow for these people to be in the country.

Mr. Obama has acknowledged around twenty times that what he was doing without Congress was not right. That didn’t stop him last night though.

Did I mention that these people are in the country illegally? Their first act in the US was to violate federal immigration law. And they KNOW they are in the wrong because many of them live in America in secret. Why? Because they know they are not supposed to be here.

In fact, here is Jay Carney, his OWN former White House Press Secretary, indicating that what Obama is doing is what he said was unconstitutional. And although Carney is trying to defend him, even Anderson Cooper isn’t buying that he is only telling law enforcement that they can “exercise discretion”.

Obama Doing Exactly What He Once Said is Unconstitutional

Now, the liberals and the very racist support group La Raza is saying that Obama is operating within his legal limits. But is he? He was given a specific responsibility to uphold the laws of the United States, that “’he shall take care that the laws be faithfully executed”. By executive order, he has elected to not enforce immigration policy. This is very similar to the use of Signing Statements, which the last few presidents have used to not enforce parts of the law that the President felt were unconstitutional (like the President has the right to declare laws unconstitutional – this is a power reserved for the Supreme Court).

This is not unusual to Democrats. During the years of George W. Bush’s second term, Representatives Conyers, Kucinich, and Wexler pushed legislation to impeach President Bush on 35 charges, one of which was the unilateral use of Signing Statements.

We all knew this was coming folks. Last night, he stepped over the line and it’s time to remove Barack Obama from office. He clearly does not respect the constitutional authority of Congress and is clearly frustrated at the fact that they are not sending a bill to him that he would like to sign.

I’m pretty sure isn’t much of a stretch to draw up articles of impeachment for Obama – although the entire process of impeachment has become a fad. Ever since Clinton got impeached for lying to a Grand Jury over Zippergate, the Democrats have been aching for some payback.  I would say, it’s time to impeach this Democrat too.

The President of Inaction

leave a comment »

Obama’s tepid approach these days shows a man disinterested in his job for which he’s being paid. I think he feels his job description should include the title of “rockstar”. I’m beginning to think that Obama could care less about his role as president.

Obama-Arrogant-SneerWe sat back and watched him do very little with respect to responding to all the scandals that have come down his way. Benghazi, still no real investigation of what happened there. Bergdahl, in the rearview, out of sight, out of mind. IRS scandals, bah, let Koskinen handle it. Obama’s got very little to do with any of this, except spend time playing golf.

Then there’s Obama’s reactions and responses to Vlad Putin’s actions in Ukraine. This has been such a dismal lack of real leadership. We all know that Russia’s stirring up the unrest in Ukraine – and yet, we’re just taking Putin’s word for it.

And there’s the current flareup in Gaza. Obama probably thinks it’s all Israel’s fault and they should just give up, have all the Jews gassed, and let the Palestinians come in so ISIS can check the block on their whole “world domination” theory. However, even Obama is missing the point on this one – if Hamas stops the rockets, Israel would leave Gaza alone. But that’s not good enough for Hamas. And Obama, in showing lack of support for our “ally” treats them no better than the “adversary”.

And with respect to ISIS, where are we with that? Obama sat back and with 300 military advisers and maybe a few drones here and there (oh, those are popular now?). So instead of US aid, where we have only been working Iraq as our pet politi-forming project for over a decade, in comes Iran. Wow. That’s a switch.

Back home, Obama couldn’t be troubled from all his fundraising activities for Udall in Colorado (which Udall didn’t show up for, by the way – totally funny). He’s been jet-setting all over the country for photo opportunities while his latest sock puppet, Josh Earnest answers any questions we might have.

No, while we have people into the tens of thousands streaming across the border, he couldn’t be bothered to go to the border himself, since he said it would just be a “photo op”, yet he posed for a pic with Colorado Governor John Hickenlooper, since Hick is facing getting his own clock cleaned soon.

And with the recent downing of Malayian Air Flight 17 in Ukraine yesterday with 23 Americans on board, Obama couldn’t be troubled to leave a fundraiser event in New York to return to the White House with nothing more than “it looks like a terrible tragedy”. He seemed to be more concerned about Bowe Bergdahl, who could still face charges for desertion (and who is happening to get a new posting back in the Army) than 23 innocents.

And back to the fundraising.

I’m really thinking Obama has no desire to be the President anymore. I think he’s really tired…really tired of being beaten up by the GOP and the Tea Party, even his own party. I think he laments having only a 41% approval rating, which continues to fall. I think he would rather be out playing with the Hollywood elite and standing for photo ops with fellow Democrats than go see the tragedy at the border. He doesn’t have the machismo to go toe-to-toe with Putin.

No, he wants to go out and soak up the love from the Obamadrones that are still out there going “Mmm, Mmm, Mmm”, play community organizer, and cap it all off with a round of golf.

It’s real sad, really. Obama doesn’t believe in American exceptionalism. And with his attitude, he’s showing it though his lack of real leadership in any thing.

To my friends.

Judge Rules – US Border Fence “Racist”

leave a comment »

If you’re like me (a thinking American with a good sense of true American values), you would be seriously saddened by the lack of concern that our President continues to show with regards to the US border. I am so sick of hearing how it’s “discriminatory” and “racist” whenever we talk about securing the border.

Well, now Barry is trying to talk all tough, telling the Mexican president that they “won’t be able to stay”, even though we’re finding out that most of these people aren’t actually from Mexico – they’re from Latin America countries like El Salvador, Guatemala and Honduras.

Interestingly, though, Mexico has some pretty anti-illegal immigration laws, which should have prevented people non-Mexican Hispanics from entering Mexico, just so they could sneak into America. But it’s pretty obvious that there is no real interest by Mexico in preventing this problem.

Beryl Howell – Stupid, ugly, biased and liberal – all the makings of an Obama pet judge.

Back in March, an Obama-appointed judge Beryl Howell, made the audacious ruling that the US border fence was “racist”. She wrote in her decision, that it might “disparate impact on lower-income minority communities.”

In other words, she agrees with University of Texas professor Denise Gilman to get the names of the landowners on whose property the border fence would be erected.  But how does a fence discriminate against our landowners – unless that’s not who these women are trying to prevent the discrimination.

It’s all very simple. They don’t want a border fence going up. The discrimination thing is all a nonsensical ruse. The fence keeps out non-Americans.

I guess Howell wants to get out of all the flak she gets for conflicts of interest stemming from her rulings regarding P2P sharing, given her wide background as a RIAA lobbyist.

We’re not gonna be stopped by your racist fence, gringos. We have rights!

Obama is so weak on all of this. His position on Iraq to send in 300 “advisers” to help the Iraqis fight against ISIS that’s threatening to take over the country and now, he is “encouraging” the Mexican president to stop the stream of illegals coming through Mexico into America. Why would he do that? Very simple – because he doesn’t want to suffer the political back-lash that would ensue from building the border fence. The only reason he’s saying, “they can’t stay” is the amount of pressure being put on him from the, now very overworked Border Patrol – who can’t look after the border, since they are playing caretaker for the thousands of people, mostly kids and pregnant mothers who hope to have their anchor-baby in America.

mag_gun

Now some readers may think me heartless – that we should treat these people as refugees from hostile countries. It’s sad that women are basically being raped and slashed within all the gang violence in places like Honduras, so they come up here to escape it. But the thing is, these people abandon their home country, rather than doing something about it.

Same problem in Iraq, by the way.

Until the people in these hostile countries get so fed up with their corrupt governments that they take the initiative and secure their own blessings of liberty, they will never know it for themselves. They will only seek to steal ours (because they are overwhelmingly not interested in becoming Americans outright).

Otherwise, they would come here legally and not under the guise of asylum. I have a few friends that came to the US from somewhere else – but they did it according to the rules. They didn’t find loopholes or try to work the system. And they are on their way to Americanizing, which, to me, is a fundamental question in all of this.

In the last six months, around 120,ooo people violated our border and entered this country illegally –  many just walk up and surrender, knowing that they won’t be sent back home for some time. The Border Patrol is overwhelmed.

I think it’s time to militarize the border. Use the Coast Guard for waterways and put the National Guard down there. And incorporate the Border Patrol as part of the Department of Defense, because they have to defend the border from the thousands of people who are being allowed to invade.

To my friends…

Government Gone Mad – ObamAd, Inc is So Screwed Up

leave a comment »

I swear, the White House and Barack Obama’s entire foreign policy people are sick in the head. Deranged and totally clueless with a sincere loss of perspective.

As I read the news, I keep seeing more and more nonsense – it’s like someone just opened the spigot and let all the stupidity just dump on in. Perhaps I’m just overly sensitivie to it, but let me see if I have this right:

We give up five high-priority prisoners, very valuable detainees that had a lot of clout with our enemy,

Image

because we are so concerned over a guy who is basically a disgrace to his uniform – a suspected deserter and a Coast Guard washout…

Image

yet…

We leave behind an honorable Marine in Mexico in a brutal stinking hole for simply making a wrong turn, in possession of lawfully purchased weapons, and ended up on the south side of the border.

Image

President Obama tries to utter the words, “leave no man behind”, like he even has the honor to make such a statement, yet he left four to die in Benghazi, including our ambassador.

Image

And while Sgt. Tahmooressi sits in a cell, held and potentially being mistreated by the Federalis, we collect up lots and lots of illegal refugees because the President refuses to control the border.

Image

Then Crazy Uncle Joe goes on record saying, “We need it badly from a purely — purely economic point of view”. So in other words, we use cheap illegal foreign labor to fill jobs and keep costs yet we still have a glut of Americans who need to work.

Image

(yet, these same idiots want to raise the minimum wage which kills jobs and puts more people out of work – but that’s domestic policy)

f14eea30cccfca33aba4846fd5ce8abe

And this just in – a group of bikers are now set out to go retrieve Sgt. Tahmooressi. Good hunting, guys.

Also this week, we’re sitting back watching more and more cities fall in Iraq to the Islamo-facist insurgents – a decade of work done by our military being undone because we refuse to do anything about it now. But then, I can’t say that’s our problem, since it’s clear that the Iraqis are more interested now at squandering the freedoms they had. But sadly, many of our guys are awaiting medical attention while VA senior executives rake in bonuses – money that could be spent on our boys in civilian hospitals, if the VA were that backlogged.

medium

I swear this administration is so screwed up in the head. And it’s like they don’t care. They…just…don’t…care.

Or is this how we “fundamentally transform the United States of America”? By taking a steaming poo on the Constitution and change American exceptionalism into global mediocrity?

obama_shreds_constitution

I keep saying it – the Founders would have already started shooting over this stuff.

Obama is Weak – Needs Harry Reid to Lead Democrats

leave a comment »

Once again, Obama has showed us all how much of a wuss he is. Rather than getting some real gravitas and leading the Democrat response, he is handing it back over to the old stubborn goat

1) He can’t stand getting mucky-muck on himself, knowing full well that the Dems own the shutdown*.  Since they don’t get what they want (the ACA), they are willing to continue the fight between House and Senate.  They want Boehner to cave so they can have every little socialist program they can get.

Thing is, Democrats don’t know how to stop spending.  They simply refuse to properly deal with the problem – stop spending.  Instead, they want more money from an already hurting middle class, since they won’t get enough from the so-called rich.

Shutdown – as if.  Right now, financially, over 80% of the government is still operating without a beat.  Or is there any particular reason why DoD civilians went back to work today?

2) Harry Reid has already dug in and said “no negotiate”.  Since that sack of manure has already showed us that he is willing to swat away any bill that the Senate won’t vote to the left on, he is just simply wanting the GOP to collapse its argument.

The only high side here is that Obama is pushing this back to Congress, saying that it’s Congress’ job to get him a bill for him to sign (or that he is willing to sign).

Either way, the Dems are all showing that Obama now is a limp-wristed pantywaist of a President who has no grit.  I wonder if Harry Reid has to wipe his rear too.

Losers, all.

Saturday Rabidity: Vermin in the White House

leave a comment »

Vermin is nothing new in a building that is 213 years old–and roaches aren’t the worst of it.

When I read this, I couldn’t help but laugh. Yes, when you have a building that is over 200 years old, it’s going to have guests that aren’t exactly .  So, when an article comes out that talks about a roach problem in the White House, I can only shake my head at the sheer comedic potential.

Now, I’m not going to especially slam on El Presidente today, but rather, I think it might good to slam on the staff.

Like that little weasel Jay Carney, who has been consistently telling us against what we already know about Benghazi.  And yet we’re continuing to listen to his party line talking points while the entire Democrat party hides the facts of the matter from the light of truth – just like roaches.

Then there is Liz Fowler who authored much of the ObamaCare legislation for Max Baucus as his Chief of Staff. And yet this rat, as Obama’s top health policy adviser, met with Wall Street investment firm executives from 2011 to 2012, trading information so Wall Street can be ahead of the ACA, before going to HHS and then cashing in at Johnson & Johnson.

So, I guess I have to ask – which one is the First Cockroach?

Perhaps we should hire Tony Montana to deal with the problem (yes, I know this is Cartman from South Park, but it’s the cleanest one I could find – Scarface isn’t exactly the most linguistically pure movie in the world (and I like to keep it at least PG-13 out here).

My Cheaper Insurance

with 2 comments

This past weekend, I received an upsetting letter from Humana One regarding my family’s medical insurance. I had been expecting higher premiums, but nothing had prepared me for the full effect of ACA aka Obamacare.

My family of 5 is in relatively good health. Maybe once a year one of my three children needs an antibiotic for strep or an ear infection, common things. I go to my annual exam if I particularly feel like it. My husband has a few more issues, but we pay for it out of pocket anyway because I had a high deductible plan. Basically, we are a profit for any insurance company. My husband’s employer’s insurance is a joke as it would consume nearly one of his two week paychecks for the premiums. I found our $11,900 high deductible policy on line. It worked for us. It covered the routine exams at 100 % and would keep us from losing our house if something major happened. There were no copays. Once we met our deductible, everything else was covered at 100% for the rest of the year for the whole family. The deductible might seem high to some, but paying 20% coinsurance per incident on some of those other plans out there could easily cost more and with a higher monthly premium, too.

Now back to the letter. My high deductible plan cost $431 a month, but to comply with ACA my new premium is $1003. That’s 232%. Was the ACA plan better? Oh, it covered more. It included things like abortion and maternity. I happen to be a committed wife. I’m 41 years old. My husband had a vasectomy. I will never be in the position to use these forced improvements to my policy. Also, my deductible was raised to $12,600. Then, the abortion provision began to urk me. Forcing me to pay for something that is an absolute affront to my faith is disgusting.

What is the going rate of liberty today? According to the subsidy calculator on Colorado’s health exchange site, it’s about $890 a month. Oh, I argued with the Humana One representative about whether the subsidy was a government hand out or not. If someone else’s tax money is paying for my insurance, it’s a hand out. I don’t want it. That might perplex some folks, but I don’t want it.

Last year, I studied several Supreme Court cases with my children. One sticks to mind with regards to ACA – Wyman v James. The gist of this case? If one accepts government aid, the government can enter one’s home. No thank you. I don’t want it.

My solution is fairly basic. I’m depositing the money that I would have paid to premiums into a bank account. I’ll pay for any medical expenses from it. I refuse to enroll in ACA. I called Rep. Lamborn, Sen. Udall, and Sen. Bennett to inform them of my situation. I don’t expect much from any of them. I’m telling everyone I know. The rest I trust in God. He has never let me down. Maybe this last point is what the supporters of ACA don’t understand. The government is not my God. God shall supply all my needs.

Boehner Supports Obama on Syria? There’s Something Up With This

with 2 comments

I’m really not sure what is possessing John Boehner to support the President’s call for military action on Syria here.  Everything in my being tells me we have no business there – kind of reminds me of US involvement in Kosovo (and I don’t think we had a real mission there either).

Now before all the Liberal naysayers out there start quoting how this is no different than in 2003 with Bush, let me just go through some of the simplicities.

Syria has not attacked us nor any of our allies.  In fact, Syria attacked rebels who are allied with our enemy, Al Qaeda.  In 2003, we went after the Taliban and Al Qaeda in Iraq, which were enemies of the US and did attack us.

Syria has no means to hit the US.  None of their weapon delivery systems can touch us (unless they are looking to Iran, Russia, or China to get hardware. Al Qaeda and the Taliban already proved it had attack capability back in 2003.

We knew about the sarin gas because Saddam hid it in Syria when we were going after him. Or did we forget that minute point.

Did Syria use sarin gas? Well according to our sources, yes, but the jury is still out at the UN.  And of course, Russia is denying it all, but then, what else is new. If they did, then really, how is the use of sarin any different than what these state sponsors of terror do when they strap bombs on kids, shuttle weapons around, or broker backroom deals with Al Qaeda and the Muslim Brotherhood.

If I were John Boehner, I would visibly step back from this and tell the President to figure it out. With that golden intellect of his, he should be able to come up with an answer to this little conundrum.  Boehner doesn’t have to do anything to support the President here and, quite frankly, after the President’s arrogance over the last five years, why should Boehner lift a finger to save him?

Unless there’s some quid pro quo here that we don’t know about.  Maybe the cost for Boehner’s cooperation here is a great big blue chip in Boehner’s pocket – not that Obama isn’t already running the wells dry with the possibility that the House could start defunding ObamaCare.

I am reminded of Uncle Remus’ Br’er Rabbit story of the Tar Baby. While that story always gets the knock for the so-called racial epithets, the thing is, Obama in this case is the rabbit. He got cocky and started smacking the tar baby around for not talking to him.  Now, the rabbit is stuck.

Obama started off with his hard talk about “red lines” and warning Syria not to cross them. But he has underestimated the situation and painted himself into a corner. Now he has to either 1) act unilaterally and face harsh criticism with the specter of impeachment for violating the War Powers Act; 2) attempt to seek Congressional approval and hope that the GOP goes along in the House (which they won’t muster the votes as far as I can tell) or 3) don’t act and find himself without any credibility at all (not that he has a lot in the Middle East to begin with).

Obama got himself into this mess with all his Donkey-Hawk talk.  And if he does attack, he needs to hand his Nobel Peace Prize back, because he would be no different than those that he criticized for Iraq and Afghanistan.

First Opulence – The Dog Gets a Plane

leave a comment »

I have commented a number of times regarding the Obama’s sheer amount of obscene opulence.  From all the lavish vacations taken by Michelle Obama, to separate vacations and the separate travelling, now, we hit a new low.

Bo, the Obama’s Portuguese Water Dog is getting his own plane – an MV-22 Osprey.  He’ll have to share it with a bag full of basketballs and some luggage, but still.

And as I said before, I don’t mind the President taking a vacation once in a while, perhaps one day, I’ll get to take one before I keel over.  But this guy and his family takes more vacations than anyone I know or know of.

The thing is, with respect to the sequester, the White House is still closed, yet he does stuff like this.  How much is it going to cost to fly these two Ospreys up to Martha’s Vineyard?  How much is it going to be to house the Secret Service, staffers, and the entourage following?

It was said the Obama’s had to downsize to a 5,400 square foot, $7M place for their vacation.  Cry me a river.

Enjoy your time off, Mr. President.  Hope Bo has a nice flight.  We’re paying for it – some of us, barely.

Jerk.
