Playing Politics-Glib Old Politicians Backing Trump…again

leave a comment »

So, how do you like that. This week, we see a lot of false piety and fake anger, calls for Trump to get out of the race and let Mike Pence run (who’d get clobbered by Hillary, for the same reasons as Jeb Bush would have been) now have recanted of their anger and have said they would vote for him now. Here’s the list of those who supported, pulled their support, but are now supporting…again.

  • Senator Deb Fisher (Nebraska)
  • Senate Candidate Darryl Glenn (Colorado)
  • Senator John Thune (S. Dakota)
  • Rep. Scott Garrett (New Jersey)
  • Rep. Bradley Byrne (Alabama)

Didn’t take the Times long to report it. Read it here

This is precisely why I hate the Glib Old Politicians now and why the establishment simply must die. These idiots will play games, not showing what they really feel. They suck up to whoever they have to get elected. Makes you wonder about what makes them tick inside – it’s certainly not anything truthful.

And for the record, I burned my GOP card back early in 2015, after John Boehner being wishy-washy as speaker. Sad that Paul Ryan has turned out the same way, given that the Tea Party gave him props, only for Ryan to call them the “problem” back in February, when talking about fracturing the party between the establishment and conservatives.

In any case, it does not at all surprise me. Not in the slightest.

Oh, and as I was reading this article, this popped up. Seriously, already using Ken Bone in advertising? I still want to know how this crap happens. Maybe it’s a sort of buyout, since he makes his living on coal, the liberals out there might think the Right wants him to become the “everyman”. Can’t have another Joe the Plumber running around.  Let’s throw cash at him, so he doesn’t get all bent up if Hillary wins and she continues the Left’s assault on fossil fuel energy.

The Hypocrisy of CNN, Again

leave a comment »

So, for the last few days, CNN has been pressing this issue about Trump’s locker-room talk. But CNN has been doing everything they can to try to find Republicans who will speak out against Donald Trump. They don’t care about anything else at the moment, because all of their “news” coverage is spun to promote Hillary and destroy Donald.

First, yes he said those things.  They were vulgar.  Yep, they were.  I don’t think anybody out there denies that. And I believe the American public is smart enough to understand that there are plenty of people out there who use vulgarity on a day-to-day basis. Is it right? Depends on your state of morality. But I certainly cannot condemn the man when I myself have said those kinds of things more than once in my life.

CNN decidedly put backspin on this. They keep saying it like this:

Talking Head: “Is it okay that a man who wants to be President is saying these kinds of things and bragging about his treatment of women?”

Go ahead, keep making the brain-baby kick

Here is the point that they are not getting, and are hoping that you don’t get either. Donald Trump said these things back in 2005, when he was not running for President. Now no one has come up with any kind of video or audio of Donald Trump saying these kinds of things after his candidacy was announced. CNN is trying to put the cart before the horse. They are trying to spin comments from 11 years ago in a way that makes it look as if he’s saying right now. And their journalistic integrity is totally in question because they don’t bring up any of the reports of the vulgarities that Hillary Clinton has said.

And then we go back to Bill Clinton, who is in more sexual harassment and sexual assault situations, before he ever made a presidential run. It was even busted for his womanizing while he was in office! The public basically gave him a pass. Organizations like attempted to blanket over the whole thing. The situation with Monica Lewinsky forced the second of the only two impeachments in America’s history. The left wanted to breeze over it. And these are things that happened before he was in office and while he was in office.

This video clearly demonstrates CNN’s hypocrisy and how they are trying to create a picture that Donald Trump is not electable as a present. But yet they do the exact opposite when Bill Clinton is involved.

Somehow I get the feeling that CNN is even trying to remain objective anymore, as if they ever tried first place. I don’t even think they are trying to hide it.

False Piety Part III-GOP Exodus

leave a comment »

No one is impressed with the GOP elite’s so-called exodus of support for Trump. Except maybe for CNN.

So we keep hearing noise from the GOP elite’s sycophants, the NeverTrump crowd, and the liberal-leaning RINO’s out there. Noise about how “folks were going to start withdrawing support” and how much they need an emergency process to replace the nominee.

As if they ever supported Trump through ANY of the campaign process. All that’s going on and their reaction to it is about as fake as a three-dollar bill: trying to pass counterfeit emotions in hope it will buy them sympathy.

To rewind, it all started with seventeen candidates of every band of the GOP. No one expected Donald Trump to make it as far as he did.  The establishment was going for candidates like Jeb Bush or Marco Rubio. As the lower tier candidates kept dropping off the radar, candidates like Mike Huckabee, or Carly Fiorina, more emphasis is being placed on the top-tier candidates. But it seemed like in the back of everyone’s head, people were asking the question, why is Donald Trump still in the race?

And then Jeb Bush dropped out of the race. He was supposed to be the establishment’s standard bearer. But he failed to impress, particularly in a race that was becoming more heated by the second. The field very quickly dwindled down to Ted Cruz, Marco Rubio, and Donald Trump. It was at this point that the GOP establishment began to very much worry. They were fans of Ted Cruz either, but at least they have a shot Marco Rubio.

And then Rubio failed to carry his home state of Florida and bowed out of the race. The GOP establishment was not at all happy with this dichotomy candidates. Both of them were populist-leaning. The battle lines were redrawn and heading into the convention it seemed that Trump Train couldn’t be stopped. There was talk about changing the rules of the convention, a very deeply unpopular use of party power. It was at this point that the NeverTrump crowd was as its strongest. They were pulling for the convention to use some sort of nuclear option in order to thwart Trump and install Cruz as the candidate.

That didn’t happen, and the GOP was begrudgingly forced to accept Donald Trump is their presidential candidate. Establishment names like John McCain and Paul Ryan as well as Ted Cruz withheld their support because they could see themselves supporting a candidate like Donald Trump. Paul Ryan particularly was in a precarious situation. Either he had to support Trump, something that he didn’t at all want to do, or withhold his support and anger the more populist leaning GOP base.

Support for Donald Trump came from those people who follow him, and who continue to follow him. They have eschewed the GOP establishment feeling like the establishment did not represent their interest; that in many ways spent more time colluding with Democrats than promoting the Republican agenda.

What we have seen so far is not at all impressive. Why would we even care about a bunch of politicians who begrudgingly put out the very bare minimum support, or no support at all, only to withdraw it simply because someone dredged up to tape from 11 years ago. Of course the only group of people that seem to be impressed by this are ones who are positioning themselves to be sycophants of Hillary Clinton.

Donald Trump to had to play nice with the GOP during the convention season. But truth be told, the reason why Trump is even running in the first place is because the GOP establishment has gotten tired and irrelevant. The rank and file feel like no one listens to them anymore, and that no one in Washington has the gumption to actually change anything. Trump comes along and campaigns as a Republican. The elites cry that their nomination has been taken over.

So they’ve been waiting for all this. Don’t be fooled. Just another round of false piety trying to dissuade people from what is actually happening. Just like the fake emotional outburst regarding Trump’s taxes, or his locker-room talk.

To my friends – what few I have left.

Hillary Got it Wrong–SCOTUS Question

leave a comment »

The Court has the power of “Judicial Review”, which means that the it’s the court’s job to apply standing legislation, and most importantly, the Constitution, to various situations where the law doesn’t spell out what should be done.

Well, part III of the debate process happened last night. And with Trump’s performance in his Three-on-One debate, this little gem stood out:

Beth Miller: Good evening. Perhaps the most important aspect of this election is the Supreme Court justice. What would you prioritize size as the most important aspect of selecting a Supreme Court justice?

Hillary Clinton: Thank you. You are right. This is one of the most important issues in this election. I want to appoint Supreme Court justices who understand the way the world really works, who have real life experience. Who have not just been in a big law firm and maybe clerked for a judge and then gotten on the bench, but maybe they tried more cases. Actually understand what people are up against. Because I think the current court has gone in the wrong direction. I would want to see the Supreme Court reverse Citizens United and get dark unaccountable money out of our politics. Donald doesn’t agree with that. I would like the Supreme Court to understand that voting rights are a big problem in many parts of the country. That we don’t do always do everything we can to make it possible for people of color and older people and young people to be able to exercise their franchise. I want a Supreme Court that will stick with Roe v. Wade and a woman’s right to choose, and I want a Supreme Court that will stick with marriage equality. Now, Donald put forth of the names of people he would consider. And among the ones that he has suggested are people who would reverse Roe v. Wade and reverse marriage equality. I think that would would be a terrible mistake and take us backwards. I want a Supreme Court that doesn’t always side with corporate interests. I want a Supreme Court that understands because you are wealthy and you can give more money to something doesn’t mean you have more rights or should have any more rights than anything else. So I have clear views about what I want to see to change the balance on the Supreme Court and I regret deeply that the senate has not done its job and they have not permitted a vote on the person that President Obama, a highly qualified person. They have not given him a vote to be able to have the full complement of nine Supreme Court justices. I think that was a dereliction of duty. I hope they will see their way to doing it, but if I am so fortunate as to be president, I will immediately move to make sure that we fill that. We have nine justices and that they get to work on behalf of our people.

Donald Trump: Justice Scalia, great judge, died recently and we have a vacancy. I am looking to appoint judges very much in the mold of justice Scalia. I am looking for judges and have actually picked 20 of them. So that people would say: Highly respected. Highly thought of and actually very beautifully reviewed by just about everybody. But people that will respect the Constitution of the United States. And I think that this is so important. Also, the Second Amendment which is totally under siege by people like Hillary Clinton. They’ll respect the second amendment and what it stands for and what it represents.

Now, class, did you find the right answer in what the candidates said? Which one? If you said Trump, you’d be right, not for all the rhetoric, but for these two statements (emphasis and editing mine):

Clinton: I believe the current court has gone in the wrong direction. I want a Court that understands voting rights are a big problem, that will stick with Roe v Wade, marriage equality, doesn’t side with corporate interests, understands that because you’re wealthy, you don’t have more rights. I want to see a change in the balance on the Supreme Court.

Trump: I am looking to appoint judges…that will respect the Constitution of the United States.

If you look at the Supreme Court’s own page, it will talk about judicial review. Not about promoting causes that one candidate things are important. Not changing the balance because decisions are not palatable. But applying the law as it stands.

So Trump answered this question, and once you pare down the fluff, succinctly – judges that will respect the Constitution.

If this were a game show, Hillary would have gotten a big ugly buzzer.  She got it wrong.  And she stepped up with the statements of judicial activism rather than the law. Why?

Because, on the left, causes are more important than law. We see it with Black Lives Matter in their sense of entitlement while gunning down police officers. We see it in the entire LGBTQ+, etc etc alphabet soup that now wants to redefine the human race as having about seven genders, rather than two. We see it with abortion and gay marriage. They’re not concerned about the rule of law, they are concerned about using the judiciary to change law (rather than going through Congress).

It’s important to understand what the Courts are supposed to do and not what we wish them to do.  Trump wins on that one.

To my vulgar speaking, deplorable friends.

False Piety Part II–The Trump Tapes

leave a comment »

So, some basement dweller out there dug up tapes from ten years where Donald Trump was talking sexual trash with the guys, as it were. Crazy stuff, for sure. Trump issued an apology, but right now, the liberals are seething and celebrating at the same time, as if they just got a windfall ahead of the upcoming second debate – which promises to be a liberal gush-fest, rather than actually asking fair and balanced questions. But before we all start with the Trump bashing, let’s remember a few points to bring it back into context:

1. Trump wasn’t running for President ten years ago. But somehow, this surfaces and he’s now a objectifier of women and unfit for office. It’s almost like the only time someone on the Right gets to be president is if they are being considered for sainthood. But on the Left? Vulgarity and sexual deviancy is like a badge of honor.

2. I’ve heard more than a few women who’ve engaged in locker-room trash talk, sometimes, good Christian women who are supposed to be pure and chaste, etc etc. Maybe the very first time I heard it, I was surprised. But after a short while, it didn’t phase me. It’s amazing how diverse the double-standard is promulgated by the left.

3. What Donald said, Bill actually did – and then Hillary covered it up, repeatedly. We don’t need to crucify Bill for his sexual escapades, but Hillary doesn’t get to be “shocked” by it. That’s all an act, see. More falseness from a hollow of a woman who believes herself entitled to the Presidency because she is a woman (sort of).

4. Liberals can do things like Free the Nipple, Cocks for Glocks, sexually confused people in the wrong gender bathroom by legislative fiat, more and more trash on cable and public TV channels (funny the number of times shows like The Vampire Diaries can get away with saying the word “dick” and get away with it – it’s almost a drinking game.

You can search these things if you want to read about them, not linking them on TRC.

5. Umm, did anyone forget the laundry list of trash and vulgarity from Hillary’s mouth? There’s a very good list here. I guess that’s okay though – kinda like another one of those false liberal double-standards.

6. Trump released an apology. So, if we’re alright with excoriating Trump over what he said ten years ago, then why are we so unwilling to accept the apology? In other words, he’s a bad person for saying bad things, but when he apologizes and attempts to set it right publically, it’s not considered sincere? Seems anyone who thinks this way is just as hypocritical.

BTW – to the NeverTrump and GOP elites like Paul Ryan, you can keep your false piety too. It’s all very passé.

Or maybe to quote Hillary, “what does it matter?” Oh, because of the double-standard.

Got it.

To my friends.

Finally, here you go: The Gateway Pundit releases a list of Presidential Colorful Talk. JFK is funny.

Paying Taxes Does Not Make One a Saint

leave a comment »

And not legally paying taxes does not make one a bad person.

We have to stop treating the government like a charity. Particularly around election times and in this present season, where we’re comparing tax returns for the candidates in order to “establish financial credibility”, etc etc.

Paying more taxes than one is legally obligated to pay doesn’t make a person a saint. It makes them *stupid*. Our current tax law has so many loopholes and ways that people can exploit to get out of paying taxes. And it doesn’t matter if you’re a liberal, conservative, Democrat, Republican, Green, Blue, Red, gay, straight, boy, girl, Christian, or atheist, if you are able to avoid a tax legally, then you’re completely in your rights not pay that tax.

But for some reason, there is this nonsense running around that the New York Times is pinning Donald Trump on whether he paid taxes for years on end, only to find out that the Old Gray Lady paid no taxes in 2014 either.

Whatever. On both counts.

Both Trump and the Times are business minded. They are trying to earn profit and keep that profit in their own hands, not the government’s claws. But we’re all supposed to hate on both of them. Why? Because we all paid taxes and they didn’t? Really?

Jealous much?

I know I have tried every hook and crook within the scope of the law to prevent paying taxes. I’ve tried itemizing deductions, claiming usages for my house for non-taxable reasons, claiming sales tax, everything I could as an individual to get out of paying anything to the government. It’s my money, not the government’s.

So, sorry everyone, but you can keep all the crocodile tears and fake piety.

One Simple Question

leave a comment »

Image result for Hillary Image result for trump
Her Him

You have until November to decide. Do your own research. Don’t listen to the pundits. Don’t listen to the media. Don’t listen to the Facebook postings or the wild-eyed Twitter feeds from the left or the right.

Choose of your own volition. Choose of your own decision. Don’t let dumb tag lines and nonsense govern your choice. There are those out there who are so bitter and angry that they have become antipathetic about the race. They are left without a candidate they can truly believe in, with Cruz out and Kasich on his way out, they are deciding to stay home since Trump isn’t conservative enough (or at all) for them. But rather than go with one who is more conservative than the other, they’ll just stay home, sit in their own misery and posterior pain, and tell all of us how stupid we are for voting for whomever is the nominee.

In other words, they are afraid now. They are afraid that their ardent opposition to Donald Trump has put them in a place where they will either have to not vote, or vote for Hillary, since they would have to munch some serious crow.

(Psst, better to eat the crow while it’s warm)

Image result for eat crow

Why do I say this? Because McCain and Romney weren’t your token conservatives either, but I bet most who fly that #NeverTrump hashtag voted for McCain and Romney.

As for me, I didn’t support Trump outwardly through the Primary, but I didn’t oppose him either. My position here at The Rabid Conservative was to support the GOP nominee, since I myself am not a Republican anymore, I wouldn’t have a say in it anyway.  But, I’ll vote for the best candidate in November. If it comes down to Hillary or Trump, then I’m going with Trump. That doesn’t bother me, even being a conservative, because while Trump and I don’t align on everything, we do align on more than Hillary and I. And I’ll go with the best candidate available.

I went with McCain in 2008, and he’s about as moderate as you can get. But I sure as heck wasn’t going to vote for BHO. And in November 2008, I was pretty somber. You can even read the TRC Post on this.

Anyway, I will remind you all, your constitutional duty is to vote, ever since these guys helped you get your right to vote.

In the spirit of the day, being May 4th (Star Wars Day), I give you a very poignant video that paints the picture, very well, I might add.

The Voters Will Decide

Comments – who is who…lol, this should be good.
